Answer:

v= 1/2

u = 1

Step-by-step explanation:

5u + 3v = 13uv -----(1)

u - v = uv ------(2)

Multiplying (2) with 3

3u - 3v = 3uv ------ (3)

Dividing (1) and (3) with uv

5u/uv + 3v/uv = 13uv/uv

5/v + 3/u = 13 ----(4)

3u/uv - 3v/uv = 3uv/uv

3/v - 3/u = 3-------(5)

(4) + (5)

5/v + 3/u = 13

(+) 3/v - 3/u = 3

= 8/v = 16

v = 1/2

Substituting value of v in (5)

3× 2- 3/u = 3

6-3 = 3/u

3/u = 3

u = 1

Answer:

5u+3v=13uv ----------(i)

u-v=uv --------------(ii)

multiply eqn(i) by1 and (ii) by3

5u+3v=13uv----------(iii)

3u-3v=3uv---------(iv)

add eqn (iii) and (iv)

5u+3v+3u-3v=13uv+3uv

8u=16uv

8=16v

v=1/2-----------(v)

put eqn (v) into(ii)

u-1/2=u/2

2u-1=u

2u-u=1

u=1
