5x+4x+x = 2+2+1
10x = 5
x = 10/5
x = 2

Sol:
x+2, 4x+1 and 5x+2 are in AP
⇒ (4x+1) - (x+2) = (5x+2) - (4x+1) [Difference between two consecutive terms is same.]
⇒ 4x +1 - x -2 = 5x + 2 - 4x - 1
⇒ 3x-1 = x + 1
⇒ 3x - x = 1+1
⇒ 2x = 2
⇒ x = 1

Hence, the value of x is 1.
