The value of y in terms of x is  "\dfrac{1}{24} × x^{4}" .

Step-by-step explanation:

We have,

5x × 5x^{3} = (124)(5y)

⇒ (5 × 5) × (x·x^{3} ) = (124 × 5) y

⇒ 25 × x^{3 + 1} = 600·y

⇒ 25 × x^{4} = 600·y

⇒ y = \dfrac{25}{600} × x^{4}

∴ y = \dfrac{1}{24} × x^{4} , this is y in terms of x.

Hence, the value of y in terms of x is  "\dfrac{1}{24} × x^{4}" .
