Question -:

If 5x + 7 = 3, then find x.

\sf\underline{Solution }\dag

5x + 7 = 3

5x = 3 - 7

5x =  - 4

x =  \frac{ - 4}{ \:  \:  \: 5}

None of these will be the value of x.

The value of x is - 4/5.

Hope it helps! :)
