To find : value of y

Given : 5y + 10 = 50

Solution :

  • As per the given data in the question to find the value of y we use the given equation 5y + 10 = 50.
  • Here, we can find the value of y by taking constant at RHS and leaving variable term at LHS .
  • On taking 10 to RHS sign changes to negative , therefore after subtraction we divide the answer by 5 to get value of y .

             5y + 10 = 50 \\5y = 50 - 10 \\y = \frac{40}{5} \\y =8

Hence, value of y  will be 8.
