If 6 is 25% of a number, what is 40% of the same number?​

 \frac{25}{100}  \times x = 6 \\ x =  \frac{100}{25}  \times 6

x = 24

The number is 24.

24 \times  \frac{40}{100}  =  \frac{48}{5}  = 9.6

Let the no. be x

If 25% of x is 6

then,

x × 25÷100 = 6

x= 6×4

x=24

NOW,

40% of x which means

40% of 24 = 40÷100×24

= 48/5

= 9.6
