Solution -

Given equation,

3x+y=22

Since, (6,k) is a solution of 3x+y=22

Therefore putting x=6 and y=k in the given equation -

=> 3(6) - k-22=0

=> 18-k-22=0

=> k =22-18

=> k = 4

Therefore the value of k is 4
