Here is Your Answer :-

• 6 Times “x” Equals to 12.

—> The Statements Means That 6 Multiplied By “x” Gives 2.

—> 6*x = 2
—> x = 2/6
—> x = 1/3

• 12 Times “y” Equals to 6.

—> The Statements Means That 12 Multiplied By “y” Gives 6.

—> 12*y = 6
—> y = 6/12
—> y = 1/2

• x + y

—> 1/3 + 1/2

—> Taking LCM (6)...

—> (2+3)/6

—> 5/6

• x - y

—> 1/3 - 1/2

—> Taking LCM (6)...

—> (2-3)/6

—> -1/6

Answer:

6×x=2

thus

x= 1/3

12×y=6

thus

y=1/2

thus

x+y=1/3 + 1/2= 5/6

x-y=1/3 - 1/2 = -1/6
