if 60% of the students in a school are boys and the total number of girls in the school is 360, find the number of boys in the school

let the total number of students be x
so
% of girls 100%-60%=40%
40% of x =360
40/100×x=360
x=360×100/40
x=900
so total number of students will be 900
number of boys =60/100×900. =540
so no of boys is 540

Answer 2

Given that number of boys in the school = 60%.

Then the number of girls in the school = 40%. = 360.

If 40% = 360

Then 1% = 360/40

               = 90.

Therefore the total number of boys = 90 * 60

                                                             = 540.
