Answer:

60workers dig a pond 120m,60m,4m in 120 days.

therefore volume of pond=120*60*4=28800m^3

60workers dig 28800m^3 in 120 days

therefore

1worker digs 28800/60m^3 in 120 days

1worker digs 480m^3 in 120 days

therefore

1 worker digs 480/120m^3 in 1day

1worker digs 4m^3 in 1 day.

let the time taken by 80 workers to dig a pond 100m,40m,3m by x day.

therefore volume of pond =100*40*3=12000m^3

80 workers dig 12000m^3 in x days

therefore

1worker digs 12000/80m^3 in x days

1worker digs 150m^3 in x days

therefore

1 worker digs 150/xm^3 in 1day

Since 1 worker digs 4m^3 in 1 day

therefore

150/x=4

therefore

x=150/4=37.5days

Hope it helps
