Answer:

The relation between X and Y is

Step-by-step explanation:

Given that :

        65% of X is equal to 50% of Y is that X is 10/13 times of Y.

To Find : Relation between X and Y.

Solution :

According to the question

  • 65% of X = \frac{65 \ \text{x} \ \text{X}}{100}
  • 50% of Y = \frac{50 \ \text{x} \ \text{Y}}{100}

Since  65% of X is equal to 50% of Y

so,

                   \frac{65 \ \text{x} \ \text{X}}{100} = \frac{50 \ \text{x} \ \text{Y}}{100}

                  65\  \text{x} \ \text{X} = 50\  \text{x} \ \text{Y}

                          \frac{X}{Y}= \frac{50}{65}

                          \frac{X}{Y}=\frac{10}{13}

Hence X is 10/13 times of Y .
