65*4=52*5
Thus x=4
y=5
The minimum value for x+y= 9 (4+5)

Given :


65 x = 52 y

Divide both sides by 13 :

= > 5 x = 4 y


Note that x and y can be zero

5 × 0 = 4 × 0

0 = 0

However if you want positive value then :

Find the L.C.M of 5 and 4

L.C.M = 20

Hence 20 / 5 and 20 / 4

= > 4 and 5 will be the values .


Value of x + y = 4 + 5

= > x + y = 9


ANSWER :

For non-negative integers :

x + y = 0

For  integers greater than 0

x + y = 9


Otherwise the value of x + y can be in negative also.
