Answer:-

 a_{28} = \dfrac{3131}{2}

Given :-

 a = 67

 a_3 = 178

To find :-

The common difference and the 28 th term.

Solution :-

Let the common - difference be d.

 a = 67

 178 = a + 2d

 178 = 67 + 2d

 178-67 = 2d

 111  = 2d

 d = \dfrac{111}{2}

Now, the 28 th term of A. P is :-

 a_{28} = a + 27d

 a_{28} = 67 + 27 \times \dfrac{111}{2}

 a_{28} = 67 + \dfrac{2997}{2}

 a_{28} = \dfrac{134+2997}{2}

 a_{28} = \dfrac{3131}{2}

hence, the 28 th term is 3131/2.
