Answer:

first we can convert this into..

(6a^2 - ab)/(2ab- b^2) = 6/1 since r.h.s and l.h.s are ratios

ni we can cros multiply the expression

6a^2 -ab 12ab - 6b^2

then we can divide the both sides from b^2

6 (a^2/b^2) - (a/b) = 12(a/b) - 6

FORMULA

(a+b) =a²+b²+2ab

=>a² +b² =(a+b) 2 −2ab

Given, a+b=5 and ab=6

So, a²+b²=(a+b)²−2ab = 5²−2×6=25−12=13
