SOLUTION-

⟹ 7 men = 10 women

⟹ 1 man =  \dfrac{10}{7} women

⟹ 14 men = ( \dfrac{10}{7}  \times 14)women

⟹ 14 men = 20 women

⟹ 14 men + 8 women = 20 women = 8

⟹ 14 men + 8 women = 28 women

Let 14 men and 8 women (= 28 women) earn ₹ x per day.

Then, we have:

  • No. of women | 10 | 28
  • earning per day in ₹ | 1400 | x

Clearly , more women will earn more per day . so , it is the case of direct proportion

\sf {\fbox{★{10}÷{1400} = {28}÷{x}}}

⟹ 10 x = 28 × 1400

x =  \dfrac{28 \times 1400}{10}

⟹ x = 3920

Hence, 14 men and 8 women would earn ₹ 3920 per day.
