Given: 7 poles A, B, C, D, E, F and G are put in such a way that the distance between the next two decreases by 1 meter.

To find: how much distance did monkey cover?

Solution:

  • Now we have given 7 poles, such that distance between A and B is 10 m, B and C is 9 m, C and D is 8 m..... and so on.
  • Now we have asked that if a monkey hopes from pole G to pole C.
  • That means distance covered will be:

          CD + DE + EF + FG

          8 + 7 + 6 + 5

          26 m

Answer:

So the monkey covered 26m distance.
