Answer:

dividing both side by cos^2θ

we get

(7 sin^2θ+ cos^2θ)=(44)/cos^2θ

7tan^2θ  + 1=44*1/cos^2θ

7tan^2θ  + 1=44*sec^2θ           (equation 1)

therefore sec^2θ=1+tan^2θ

putting equation 1 in we get

7tan^2θ+1=44(1+tan^2θ)

37tan^2θ+43=0

tan^2θ= -43/37

tanθ= \sqrt{43/37}
