Answer:

As 70% are boys, 100 - 70 = 30% will be girls.

Let the total number of students be 'x'

30x/100 = 540

x = 540*10/3 = 180*10 = 1800

So, no. of boys = 70x/100

= 70*1800/100 = 7*180 = 1260

Therefore, there are 1260 boys....

Hello !!

With the logic , the numbers of girls is 100% - 70% = 30% are girls. With this information, you can calculate the total of students.

100% ---------- X

30% -----------540

30X = 540 × 100

30X = 54000

X = 54000/30

X = 1800 students in the total.

Now , you can calculate the number of boys with the total of students.

100% ----- 1800

70% -------- X

100X = 70 × 1800

100X = 126000

X = 126000/100

X = 1260 Boys.

Final result : 1260 boys.

I hope I have collaborated and have a great day !
