To find :  what will be 15°C below freezing

Solution:

7°C represent 7°C above freezing point

=> Freezing point is  7 - 7  = 0°C

Now 7°C represent 7°C above freezing point

=> point above Freezing point are + ve

Hence point below the freezing point will be - ve

as it can be seen as Number line on Y - axis  where point above zero are + Ve and below zero are - ve

Here Freezing point is Zero

Hence 15°C  below freezing point means  point below 0

hence it will be  - 15°C

- 15°C  will represent 15°C below freezing
