Let, the  number be 'X'

∴ 75% of X = X × 75 /100 = 3 X /4

By condition,

(3 X / 4) + 75 = X

⇒( 3 X + 300) / 4 = X

⇒ 3 X + 300 = X × 4

⇒ 3 X + 300 = 4 X

⇒ 300 = 4 X - 3 X

⇒ 300 = X

⇒ X = 300

∴  The number is 300
