Given  : 7a + i (3a-b) = 21- 3i

To Find : value of a and b

Solution:

7a + i (3a-b) = 21- 3i

p + qi  =   r + is

=> p = r  and q = s

Hence equating real part with real and imaginary part with imaginary

7a  = 21

=> a = 3

3a-b  = - 3

Substitute a = 3

=> 3(3)  - b = - 3

=>   9 - b = - 3

=> -b = - 12

=> b = 12

Hence Values of  a and b are 3 and 12    respectively

a = 3

b = 12
