If 7x=1, then find the decimal expansion of x.

X = 1/7 = 0.142857142857142857142857142857142857…..


When we divide 1 with 7 then after a certain point the quotient with start to repeat itself becoming a non-terminating number. In such a situation, we put up a bar on the number that is repeating itself in the division method instead of writing them again.


Hence, 1/7 = 0.142857 bar on the whole number after the decimal.
