25=(x1+x2+x3+……….+x10)/10

(x1+x2+x3+………+x10)=250………(1)

New mean=(8x1+8x2+8x3+………+8x10)/10

=8(x1+x2+x3+……….+x10)/10

Put (x1+x2+x3+…….+x10)=250 from eq.(1)

=8×250/10

=8×25

=200
