Answer:

3

Step-by-step explanation:

8 times of x, increased by 5 is 8x + 5.

 According to question :

   8x + 5 is always less then 36 and greater than 22.

It means, 8x + 5 < 36  as well as 8x + 5 > 22

Equality formed : 22 < 8x + 5 < 36

⇒ 22 < 8x + 5      &  8x + 5 , 36

⇒ 22 - 5  < 8x     & 8x < 36 - 5

⇒ 17 < 8x         &  8x < 31

⇒ 17/8 < x       & x < 31/8

⇒ 2.125 < x    &  x < 3.874

2,125 < x < 3.875

  Hence,

x( being an integer ) can be 3 .

Hence the only possible value of x is 3
