Concept:

A functional equation comprising two expressions, such as polynomials, can be solved for a number of unknown parameters using equating the coefficients approach.

Given:

8x-13=25+16x

To find:

The value of x

Solution:

An equation is given to us, 8x-13=25+16x

From this equation, we have o find the value of x

So for that, we will put the variables on the RHS and the constants on the LHS

8x-13=25+16x\\-13-25=16x-8x\\-38=8x\\ x=\frac{-38}{8} \\x=\frac{-19}{4}

∴The value of x is \frac{-19}{4}
