Given :   9ˣ⁻¹ = 3⁽²ˣ⁻¹⁾  - 486

To find : Value of x

Solution:

9ˣ⁻¹ = 3⁽²ˣ⁻¹⁾  - 486

=> (3²)ˣ⁻¹ = 3⁽²ˣ⁻¹⁾  - 486

=>  3²ˣ⁻² = 3⁽²ˣ⁻¹⁾  - 486

=> 3⁽²ˣ⁻¹⁾  -  3²ˣ⁻² =  486

=> 3. 3⁽²ˣ⁻²⁾  -  3²ˣ⁻² =  486

=> 2 * 3⁽²ˣ⁻²⁾  =  486

=> 3⁽²ˣ⁻²⁾  =  243

=> 3⁽²ˣ⁻²⁾  =  3⁵

=> 2x - 2 = 5

=> 2x = 7

=> x = 7/2
