alpha + beeta = 90°

=> 3beeta = 90°

=> beeta = 30°

Thus, alpha = 2 * 30°

=> alpha = 60°

cos²60° + sin²30°

= (1/2)² + (1/2)²

= 1/4 + 1/4

= 2/4

= 1/2

Hence the answer to the problem is 1/2
