Concept:

An expression is a combination of symbols i.e. having a minimum of two terms containing numbers or variables, or both, connected by a mathematical operator.

Given:

We have,

92y = 36

Find:

We are asked to find a value of 9y.

Solution:

So,

We have,

92y = 36

Now,

Simplifying the above-given expression,

i.e.

92y = 36

y = 36 / 92

Divide the Right-hand side  numerator and denominator by 4,

We get,

y = 9 / 23

So,

To find the value of 9y,

Substitute the value of y in 9y,

We get,

= 9 × ( 9 / 23)

We get,

81 / 23 or 3.52

Hence, the value of 9y is 81 / 23 or 3.52.
