Given : A=\left[\begin{array}{ccc}1&2\\2&1\end{array}\right]

A(adj A)=kI

To Find :  value of k

(a) -3 (b) 0 ( c ) -1 ( d ) 1​

Solution:

A=\left[\begin{array}{ccc}1&2\\2&1\end{array}\right]

AdjA=\left[\begin{array}{ccc}1&-2\\-2&1\end{array}\right]

A (adj A) =\left[\begin{array}{ccc}1&2\\2&1\end{array}\right]\left[\begin{array}{ccc}1&-2\\-2&1\end{array}\right]

A (adj A) =\left[\begin{array}{ccc}-3&0\\0&-3\end{array}\right]

A (adj A) = - 3\left[\begin{array}{ccc}1&0\\0&1\end{array}\right]

A ( adj A) = - 3 I

A(adj A)=kI

=> k  = - 3

option a is correct
