Step-by-step explanation:

U={1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9}

A={2,4,6,8}

B={2,3,5,7}

(i) (A∪B)

={2,3,4,5,6,7,8}

={1,9}

A

∩B

={1,3,5,7,9}∩{1,4,6,8,9}={1,9}

∴(A∪B)

=A

∩B

(ii) (A∩B)

={2}

={1,3,4,5,6,7,8,9}

A

∪B

={1,3,5,7,9}∪{1,4,6,8,9}={1,3,4,5,6,7,8,9}

∴(A∩B)

=A

∪B
