Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

we know

a=1/2   and    b=1/3

now

a×b=b×a

1/2×1/3 = 1/3×1/2

1/6 = 1/6

∴ proved

a+b = b+a

1/2+1/3 = 1/3+1/2

5/6 = 5/6

∴proved

Answer:

1. \: a \times b = b \times a \\  \frac{1}{2}  \times  \frac{1}{3}  =  \frac{1}{3}  \times  \frac{1}{2}  \\  \frac{1}{6}  =  \frac{1}{6}  \\ 2. \: a + b = b + a \\  \frac{1}{2}  +  \frac{1}{3}  =  \frac{1}{3}  +  \frac{1}{2}  \\  \: LCM \: of \: 2 \: and \: 3 \: is \: 6 \\  \frac{3}{6}  +  \frac{2}{6}  =  \frac{2}{6}  +  \frac{3}{6}  \\  \frac{ 5}{6}  =  \frac{5}{6}
