64 = a^{2} + \frac{1}{a^{2} }-2

a^{2} + \frac{1}{a^{2} } = 64+2 = 66

(a+\frac{1}{a})^{2}= a^{2} + \frac{1}{a^{2} }+2

(a + \frac{1}{a })^{2} = 66+2

a + \frac{1}{a } = \sqrt{68}
