if a-1/a =8 then a^2-(1/a)^2 =??

Answer:

a - 1/a = 8

(a - 1/a)² = (a)² - 2 × a × 1/a + (1/a)²

= a² - 2 + 1/a²

(8)² = a² - 2 + 1/a²

64 + 2 = a² + 1/a²

66 = a² + 1/a²
