a = 12/15

b = 2/15

a-b is not equal to b-a since a is not equal to b as well

a-b = (12-2)/15

= 10/15

= 2/3

b-a = (2-12)/15

= - 10/15

= - 2/3

b = - a

Yes but if you take the magnitude (modulus) of both the numbers then they're equal.

|a| = |b|

|a| = |-a|

a = a
