lhs = a - (b - c)

solving \: lhs \: when \\ a  = 12 \\ b = 8 \\ c = 5 \\  \\  lhs \:  = a - (b - c) \\ =  12 - (8 - 5) \\  = 12 - 3 \\  = 9 \\  \\ lhs \:  = 9

rhs = (a-b) - c

solving \: rhs \: when \\ a = 12 \\ b = 8 \\ c = 3 \\  \\ rhs = (a-b) - c \\  = (12 - 8) - 3 \\  = 4 - 3 \\ rhs \:  = 1

since,

9 is not equal to 1

therefore,

lhs is not equal to rhs

a - (b - c) = (a - b) - c \\ putting \: the \: values \: of \: a  \: b \: and \: c \\ 12 - (8 - 5) = (12 - 8) - 5 \\ 12 - 3 = 4 - 5 \\ 9 =  - 1 \\ here \: 9 \: is \: not \: equal  \:  to \:  - 1. \\ so ...\: a - (b - c)is \: also \: not \: equal  \\ to  \:  (a - b) - c

Hope this is ur answer...
