a) 1/R = 1/R1 + 1/R2 + 1/R3 + 1/R4 + 1/R5 (all the resistors are connected in parallel connection)
= 1/10 + 1/40 + 1/30 + 1/20 + 1/60
= 12 + 3 + 4 + 6 + 2 / 120
= 27/120
= 9/40
So ,
R = 40/9 ohm
b) V = 12 V
R = 40/9 ohm
I = ?
I = V/R
= 12 ÷ 40/9
= 12 × 9/40
= 2.7 A
