Algebra,

We have,

a² + (1/a)² = 23

=> (a + 1/a)² - 2.a.1/a = 23 [Using the formula
a² + b² = (a + b)²- 2ab]

=> (a + 1/a)² - 2 = 23

=> (a + 1/a)² = 23 + 2

=> (a + 1/a)² = 25

so, (a + 1/a) = 5

Additional : Do you know who invented the branch of math 'Algebra' ?
you may know or not it is a Alkhwarizmi .
He is told to be the father of modern algebra.

That's it
Hope it helped (^o^)/
