a =√2 + 1
1/a = 1/(√2 +1)
By rationalization,
1/a = (√2-1)/{(√2)²-1¹}
1/a = (√2-1)/(2-1)
1/a = (√2-1)/1
1/a = √2 -1
================
Then,
√2 +1 -(√2 -1)
√2 + 1 -√2+1
2√2
I hope this will help you
