Hello ,

Given that

a = 2 +  \sqrt{3}

So, this means that

\frac{1}{a}  =  \frac{1}{2 +  \sqrt{3} }  \\  \\ on \: rationalizing \: we \:  \: get  \\  = 2 -  \sqrt{3}

Now,

We know both the values

Putting to get the answer

a -  \frac{1}{a}  = 2 +  \sqrt{3}  - 2 +  \sqrt{3}  \\   \\  = 2 \sqrt{3}

So,.

The answer will be 2root3

Hope this will be helping you ✌️
