IF a = 2 +√3
then 1/a = 1/2+√3
rationalizing the denominator
we get 2-√3.
a-1/a= 2+√3-(2-√3)
= 2+√3-2+√3
= 2√3

If a=2+√3 ,Then 1\a= 1\2+√3
Therefore 1\a= 1\2+√3 * 2-√3\2-√3
1\a= 2-√3\4-3
1\a= 2-√3
Therefore, now by putting the values
a-1\a =( 2+√3 ) - ( 2-√3 )
a-1\a =2+√3-2+√3
+2 and -2 gets cut
Therefore √3+√3= 2√3 is ur answer
