if A = (2,5) B = (8,5) what is the length of AB?​

Answer:

A=(x1,y1) = (2,5)

B=(x2,y2) = (8,5)

By Distance formula,

AB

 =  \sqrt{ {(x2 - x1)}^{2} +  {(y2 - y1)}^{2}  }

 =  \sqrt{ {(8 - 2)}^{2} +  {(5 - 5)}^{2}  }

  = \sqrt{ {6}^{2} +  {0}^{2}  }

 =  \sqrt{36}

 = 6

ANS: l(AB)= 6 UNITS.
