As a^2 - b^2 = 36 and a+b = 4, then;

(a-b) = 36/4 = 9

Hence, (a-b)^2 = (9)^2 = 81

HOPE THIS COULD HELP!!!

a+b=4

a²-b²= 36

as we know that

a²-b² = (a-b)(a+b)

(a+b)(a-b)= 36

4(a-b) = 36

(a-b) = 36/4=9

squaring on both sides

(a-b)² = 9²

(a-b)²=81
