  • Using formula of A. P
  • Given :- a = 20 , d = 3
  • Find :- tn

solution :-

  • Now,
  • tn = a + (n -1 ) x d
  • tn = 20 + ( n - 1) x 3
  • tn = 20 n x 3
  • tn = 60 / n
  • tn = 60

Answer :-

  • tn = 60

If a = 20 and d = 3 then tₙ = 3n + 17

Given :

a = 20 and d = 3

To find :

The value of tₙ

Formula :

If in an arithmetic progression

First term = a

Common difference = d

Then nth term of the AP

= a + ( n - 1 )d

Solution :

Step 1 of 2 :

Write down the first term and common difference

Here it is given that ,

First term = a = 20

Common Difference = d = 3

Step 2 of 2 :

Find the value of tₙ

The value of tₙ

= nth term of the AP

= a + ( n - 1 )d

= 20 + ( n - 1 ) × 3

= 20 + 3n - 3

= 3n + 17
