If a = 2i – 3j + k and b = xi + j + k are mutually perpendicular, find the value of x.

If the vectors are mutually perpendicular, then

vector a . vector b = 0

( 2i – 3j + k )( xi + j + k ) = 0

2x - 3 + 1 = 0

x = 1
