Given:

a =  \frac{3}{2}

b =  \frac{ - 5}{2}

To find :

 \frac{a + b}{a - b}

Solution:

* a+b

 =  \frac{3}{2}  +  \frac{ - 5}{2}

 =  \frac{ - 2}{2}

 =  - 1

* a-b

 =  \frac{3}{2}  -  \frac{ - 5}{2}

 =  \frac{3}{2}  +  \frac{5}{2}

 =  \frac{8}{2}

 = 4

Now....

 \frac{a + b}{a - b}

 \frac{ - 1}{4}

Answer:

(a+b)/(a-b),

= (3/2 - 5/2) / (3/2 +5/2),

= (-2/2) / (8/2),

= -1/4.
