Given : $a = 3$ and $b = 5$

Solution :

• To verify the given equation we , substitute the given value of a and b in equation .

• $a^{2}- b^{2} = ( a + b) ( a - b)$  

       $(3)^{2} -(5)^{2} = ( 3+5 ) ( 3 - 5 ) \\9 - 25 = 8\times (-2) \\-16 = -16$

• LHS = RHS  

Hence , verified .
