x=a and y= 3

so

5(a) +2 (3) =-4

5a +6=-4

5a=-4-6

5a=-10

a=-10/5

a=-2

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:We are already given the ordinate so we just have to find the value of the x coordinate.

(a,3)

Hence the value of y=3.

Using the value of y in the equation 5x+2y=-4

We get

5x + 2(3)=-4

5x+6=-4

5x=-10

X=-2
