Here is your answer......

Since a,3 is the point lies on 5x+2y=9
Therefore x=a and y=3
5x+2y=9
5a+2×3=9
5a+6=9
5a=3
a=3/5

Hi ,

Given ( a , 3 ) is a point on the line

5x + 2y = 9

Substitute ( a, 3) in equation of the

line , we get

5 × a + 2 × 3 = 9

5a + 6 = 9

5a = 9 - 6

5a = 3

a = 3/5

I hope this helps you.

:)
