value of x= a
value of y= 3
therefore ,
5(a)+2(3)=-4
5a+6=-4
5a=-4-6
5a=-10
a=-10/5
a=-2

thus (-2,3) are the coordinates

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

Hi ,

Given ( a , 3 ) is a point on the line

5x + 2y = -4

Substitute ( a, 3) in equation of the

line , we get

5 × a + 2 × 3 = -4

5a + 6 = -4

5a = -4 - 6

5a = -10

a = -10/5

a = -2

I hope this helps you.
