hello,

Answer:

a = 140°

b = 40°

Step-by-step explanation:

since a straight line ,

a + b = 180°_______________(1)

another eq as given in Q ,

a - 3b = 20°________________(2)

from eq 1 & 2

subtracting them ,

4b = 160°

b = 40°

now substituting this in eq 1

a + 40 = 180

a = 140°

good day ahead
